Many of you should have heard of the earthquake in Sumatra, Indonesia, or for some, even feel it yesterday. The epicenter of the 8.4 magnitude earthquake was within 200km of several volcanoes, including
Kunyit,
Belirang-Beriti,
Bukit Daun,
Kaba and
Dempo.
Whenever the epicenter of an earthquake is within a certain range of a volcano, it could mean that the volcano is about to erupt. This could be the start of what is going to happen in the future.
Also in Sumatra lies the largest volcanic lake in the world,
Lake Toba, who is considered
mega-colossal and had an estimated
Volcanic Explosivity Index(VEI) of 8 on a scale of 1 to 8, making it the largest volcanic eruption for 25 million years.
This volcano, although considered dead now, may 'come to life' later in the future, maybe near to the 2012 apocalypse date. This might also apply to Yellowstone Supervolcano.
